Responsibilities

• Manage the month-end financial statement close process, including assisting external third-party accounting and tax firms.
• Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts monthly
• Research and report on factors influencing business performance
• Develop financial management mechanisms that minimize financial risk
• Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
• Manage financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems
• Liaise with auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out
• Develop external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, solicitors, bankers and statutory organizations such as the Inland Revenue
• Produce accurate financial reports to specific deadlines
• Assist in implementing new sources of finance for the company's debt facilities
• Prepare journal entries on a monthly basis
• Provide guidance to Budget holders in terms of expenses and closely work with them to control costs
• Ensure local statutory accounting and tax compliance.
• Contribute to the preparation and distribution of monthly financial reporting packages to senior management and corporate team

 Requirements

• Undergraduate Degree in Accounting
• At least 4 years of relevant work experience
• Part Qualified
• Fluent in English, Italian will be a bonus
• Experience in luxury retail and/or fashion industry is desirable.
• Commercial and business awareness

• Experience with ERP (i.e., SAP, NetSuite)
