Our client, a leading company in sustainable fashion & lifestyle product design are looking for a Head of Design with Active Wear or Fashion & Apparel experience to lead their creative & design teams. The Head of Design is responsible for developing and managing all aspects of our design and creative output. It's a leadership role, with accountability for online and offline design output and success of the design and creative department. The ideal candidate will be working for global fashion, lifestyle or similar consumer goods brands with strong experience of using trend data and other forms of data analysis for trend forecasting and integrating data driven decisions into product development.

Responsibilities

● Managing the design team and their creative output

● Influencing design-led thinking across the business

● Trend analysis and data driven product development

● Lead concept development in relation to design and creative outputs

● Develop creative programs and design concepts that meet the business objectives of the

organization and that advance our brand and proposition strategy

● Develop and manage productivity and to continuously improve the design team’s

production capabilities

● Work with internal teams to generate ideas for pitching and proposals

● Provide quality control over design outputs and production

● Establishing and developing best practice with the design and creative team

● Build out and maintain design system & brand book

● Working on assets required for Product and Marketing teams

Skills and competencies

● Excellent organizational and communication skills and the ability to manage multiple

projects

● Data and trend analysis and forecasting

● The ability to storyboard or translate ideas to designers and others, influencing external

and internal stakeholders

● Attention to detail and rigorous in product design and development

● Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography & limitations of online and

offline design work
