Summary

Our client is looking for an ambitious and experienced Financial Controller to join their team. As part of their team, you will help them take their Financial performance to the next level by planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operations.

You will be responsible for overseeing internal controls, tax filings, budgeting, forecasting and managing cash flow. You will need to liase with stakeholders and collaborate with other departments such as purchasing and sales to ensure accuracy and compliance in all transactions.

Requirements

- We expect you to monitor and analyse financial performance of the Luxury Multi-brand International Interiors Company, promoting cost efficiency and accuracy in all aspects of finance control.

- You will be responsible for managing budgeting processes, including forecasting and providing insights into potential risks and opportunities.

- You shall lead the preparation of accurate and timely Financial statements, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

- We anticipate you to develop, implement and maintain internal controls relating to company Financial operations and ensure adherence to policies, procedures and guidelines.

- You are required to liaise with external auditors on the completion of the annual audit and review of financial systems.

- We expect you to provide guidance, supervision and support to the finance team members.

- You are expected to oversee cash management activities, manage accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll administration.

- You shall help identify areas of improvement related to financial, accounting and reporting processes.

- We seek you to keep up to date with the latest changes in relevant legislation and regulations and assess their impact on the business.

- We anticipate you to collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure correct implementation of decisions.

Profile

- You must have at least 2 years of experience within financial controller roles, with a proven track or be ready for the next step up

- We require you to have excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, as well as extensive risk management experience

- You should be able to prepare periodic Financial statements and reports on variances from budget

- We want you to demonstrate strong communication skills for liaising effectively with auditors, suppliers and stakeholders

- You must be able to evaluate the accuracy of Financial documents and data, ensuring compliance to existing policies and regulations

- We are looking for a candidate who can analyse financial performance, identify areas for improvement and recommend measures for optimisation

- You should possess an aptitude for problem-solving and proactive decision-making capabilities

- We need you to display strong interpersonal skills to build relationships internally and externally

- You must demonstrate a high degree of discretion when dealing with confidential information

- We expect you to have the ability to stay up to date with any changes in industry trends or financial regulations
