B2B & Corporate Collaborations Sales Consultant

Location: London

Our client Pangaia is a materials science company on a mission to save the environment. They are a global collective of one heart and many hands — scientists, technologists, designers — creating essential products from innovative tech and bio-engineered materials.

They design products for living in, for any situation and for basic needs. They create products with smart technology and use as many sustainable & recyclable elements as possible.

The Role:

The B2B Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales activities for Pangaia’s new B2B business. The B2B Sales Manager will need to be incredibly proactive, reactive to customer requests, and able to execute multiple projects simultaneously.

The role will require: Identifying prospective customers and helping to manage these relationships as well as interfacing with internal colleagues in R&D, production, logistics, and marketing to deliver the highest quality products and service.

Essentially it is driving sales through corporate collaborations and using Pangaia's existing structure of materials, factories and products to develop merchandise, uniforms and any other product required by clients who are not retailers. An existing network of corporate clients who are eager to participate in a sustainable and ethical way is a huge plus. E.g. an HR team looking to gift their staff a custom-made tracksuit and flask set for the holidays.

A day in the life:

● Build sales strategy, segment and leverage sales channels and keep sales tools up-to-date and effective

● Manage customer relationships, contacting prospective customers, arranging and attending client meetings, etc.

● Monitor the progress of multiple sales leads and projects, keeping other team members and customers up-to-date and informed.

● Keep impeccable records to track sales pipeline to ensure clear communication flows to all team members.

● Build key relationships with key internal departments such as production, comms and R&D, as well as with external suppliers and customers.

● Plan, schedule and maintain project timelines.

● Carry out analyses, evaluations and key results measurement, as needed.

● Preparation and potential participation at material innovation, textile events and fairs.

Qualifications:

● Previous sales or commercial experience required, within the textile/ fashion industry advantageous.

● Completed Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

● Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse array of projects with both internal and external stakeholders in a fast-paced environment and dynamically set work priorities among competing needs

● Strong time management and organisational skills

● Excellent written and oral communication skills, confident numerical and analytical skills

● Motivated and driven individual who can be a strong team player and who is comfortable taking the initiative.

● Ability to communicate efficiently and concisely within a cross-cultural workforce and client base.

● Proven ability to execute projects to agreed objectives, timescales and standards.

● Enthusiasm and appetite for fast-paced high-growth environment required as well as passion for sustainability and innovation.

● Energetic, forward-thinking and open-minded.

● Experience working in the retail industry or with consumer products is preferred but not required.
