Retail Architecture Procurement & Supply Chain Manager

Within the Architecture Department and reporting directly to the director of Research and Procurement, we are recruiting the Procurement & Supply Chain Manager. You will efficiently manage and participate in the sourcing and contracting of vendors & contractors globally associated with retail architecture projects, with the goal of achieving significant year-on-year qualitative and cost improvements, supporting our ambitious real-estate expansion plans. You will be focusing on boutique construction orders and will be managing one coworker specialised in soft Furnishing & Interior Design finishes. You require excellent knowledge of the high-end construction market and will be managing a large variety of vendors in a stimulating and ambitious international environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Worldwide Construction tender analysis with weekly presentations to top management (General Construction, Millwork and Facades)
  • Central tenders for ongoing developments and prototyping (Structured requirement definition, RFQ, RFI, sourcing, negotiations, value analysis up to contractualization)
  • Scope of Works definition and worldwide implementation to ensure budget consistency across all markets
  • Implement cost optimization opportunities (i.e. bulk negotiations...)
  • Anticipate & secure supply chain by producing comprehensive volume forecasts to be shared with vendors as well as project management teams 
  • Support the project & storeplanning teams on the planification of orders with simple direct order planning tools to allow timely supply chain implementation
  • Co-Manage a shared support function (Coordinator for Provigis, Financial Checks and data administration) 
  • Present budgetary information effectively to senior management and the architecture team incl. application team (project development & store planning) 
  • Follow and actively drive all topics related to legal negotiations
  • Implement Social & sustainability audits on key contractors & top vendors and track Product life cycle 

KEY ATTRIBUTES FOR SUCCESS

  • Strong negotiating skills in an international environment is a must
  • Effectively manages to navigate under pressure and within a complex working environment
  • Excellent data management skills and in-depth cost analysis
  • In-depth knowledge of contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms
  • Excellent communication skills, Fluent English & French communication, both written and oral International experience is a plus
  • Excellent customer service & client management skills
  • Passion for cost efficiency & qualitative risk management
  • A true team player willing to roll up his/her sleeves and do what needs to be done to succeed
  • Consistently promote high standards through personal example
  • IT savvy and doesn’t shy from proposing advanced technical solutions

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 8 years of retail architectural procurement functionalities.
  • University Degree in Procurement &/or Supply Chain, Engineering
  • Computer skills: All Office programs, with excellent EXCEL skills, Adobe a plus
