Knitwear Product Developer

Product is at the heart of our business - the product developer plays a key part of bringing our creative visions to life. We are

looking for an experienced Knitwear Product Developer to support the design of cashmere knitted garments (80%) and some

Ready-to-Wear pieces. The Knitwear Product Developer will follow the full life cycle of a style, from initial proto yarn booking

through to the creation of bulk production bill of materials.

Key Accountabilities:

Product Development

● Sampling and fittings

● Technical spec sheets

● Components sourcing and ordering

● Creation of items in our production management system and data maintenance

● Preparation, ordering and shipment of sample sets

● Costing of collection and preparation of sales materials

● Preparation of BOM for production

● Manage fit meetings and document SMS handover, PPS and size set comments

● Communicate detailed fit, quality and construction comments and requirements to suppliers

● Ensure seasonal Critical Path dates are respected and flag delays

● Costing management – ensure that final costings adhere to requirements


Production

● Monitoring the bulk procurement of the assigned RTW and from PPS approval to warehouse delivery

● Production specs, management of final patterns and grading

● Where necessary, launching factory samples for size fit

● Actioning grading of patterns and specs for production

● Responsible for booking production capacity with manufacturers and raw material suppliers

● Mapping out new season production plan and delivery drops with internal teams to ensure we are delivering in

line with shipping windows


● Bulk raw material purchasing

● Approving bulk fabric strike offs and fabric inspection reports

● Creation of items and data maintenance

● Running BOM, negotiating prices and ordering components and items

● Bespoke & non-seasonal orders

● Coordinating timely shipments of components and sub materials to factories

● Composition testing

● Training warehouse on QC procedure

● Resolving production issues

● Production accounting


The Successful Candidate / About You

● You love fashion, knitwear, cashmere and above all sustainability!

● You have solid experience in a similar role (5 year +), preferably with a background in knitwear and even cashmere

● Good command of pattern-cutting, creating technical CAD drawings, knitwear construction

● Experience of managing multiple work-streams in an entrepreneurially-driven team

● Ability to build solid relationships with key suppliers

● Incredible attention to detail

● You will be confident, proactive with the ability to hit the ground running

● Technical or design qualification / education preferred

● Experience working with knitwear factories in Mongolia

● Computer literate - Google drive and excel are essential; adept at using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign; Netsuite advantageous

● Team player who is excited about working as part of a creative team

● A can-do attitude and a growth mindset
