Our client is a major player in the global fashion and beauty industry with a large portfolio of recognised luxury brands in the fields of fashion, perfume, make-up, skincare and well-being. Founded over 100 years ago, a family business with a long-term commitment to its brands and stakeholders, the group is hiring a PR & Communication Purchasing Director with the mission to optimize costs related to “PR and Communication” third parties for its 5 Fashion Houses.
This is a permanent contract, based in Paris to start in January 2024.
Location: Paris with frequent travels to New York and Antwerp.
Scope includes agencies related to PR and Communication, Events, Stylists, Models, Showrooms.
Fashion Houses include PR, NR and JPG in Paris, DVN in Antwerp and CH in New York.
Responsibilities/Key Tasks
Support the PR & Communications Teams of the FH´s to choose the right suppliers.
Standardize the negotiation and contracting process from briefing to post-mortem analysis.
Identify potential synergies within the Fashion Houses and Beauty existing suppliers.
Conduct cost comparisons and negotiate commercial terms with key suppliers.
Identify new potential suppliers and maintain a panel of vendors (Paris / New York/ Antwerp).
Identify best practices and implement process improvements on the full contracting process.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE
Experience: Experience in a similar position in Fashion in organising catwalks and events related to the fashion business
Education: Degree in Fashion or PR/Communication or equivalent
Languages: English and French mandatory.
Competencies:
- Passionate for the luxury sector and the fashion business
- Methodical person, negotiation skills.
- Resilience to stress, ease of teamwork, empathy.
Spec Specific Knowledge required:
- Pack office software
