Embracing diversity throughout the hiring process

Did you know that diversity is one of the key drivers of innovation in the workplace? A recent study led by the Boston Consulting Group found that inclusive teams produce 19% more revenue than their competitors. By welcoming a range of backgrounds and perspectives into the team, companies are able to generate an array of insights, ideas and solutions to drive their companies forward. What’s more, it’s also proven to boost wellbeing and engagement amongst the workforce.

We understand the urgency that companies are facing to increase diversity and promote inclusivity within the fashion and luxury industries right now. It’s just one of the reasons why we’re constantly looking for new ways to standardise the placement process and remove any traces of human bias. 

We also know first-hand how important it is to find the right person at the right time. When you’re able to secure the perfect balance of talent and personality, you’re well on track to ensuring that people can truly thrive in their roles. To do so, we use a multi-faceted approach with our clients, using a range of tools, techniques and data to reduce bias and widen the talent pool. Elements that help us to go beyond traditional characteristics and look at the true behaviours and talent that can make a real difference within your organisation.

One of the ways that we’ve been doing this over recent years is through independent psychometric testing. We’ve teamed up with People Maps to offer all Dweet consultants the opportunity to complete a personality questionnaire. Individuals are asked to run through a series of intuitive questions within an 8-minute time limit. Results can then be uploaded and shared on their Dweet profiles, or displayed as a personality certificate.

By combining this data with one-to-one introductory calls within our community, we’re really able to get to know the individuals behind the profiles. It’s a chance for us to take a closer look at their personalities, motivations, aspirations and abilities. This allows us to provide our clients with:

  • Propose the best possible matches for roles
  • Inclusive hiring, every step of the way
  • An improved talent on-boarding process
