We are seeking a highly driven and entrepreneurial Store Manager to lead the launch of Oner Active’s first-ever retail store in New York. This is a pivotal role that goes beyond day-to-day store management, you will play a key part in shaping the retail experience from the ground up alongside our Retail Director.

As the face of the brand in a physical space, you will be responsible for building, developing, and leading a high-performing team while delivering an exceptional customer experience that reflects Oner Active’s values, community, and standards.

You’ll be responsible for:

Store Launch & Setup

  1. Partner closely with the Retail Director to support all aspects of the store opening
  2. Contribute to defining store processes, operations, and customer experience standards
  3. Assist with visual merchandising execution in line with brand identity
  4. Ensure all systems, stock, and operational procedures are in place prior to opening
  5. Play an active role in pre-opening events and community engagement initiatives

Team Building & Development

  1. Partner with our People team on the recruitment process for store staff, including hiring, onboarding, and training
  2. Build a strong, inclusive, and motivated team culture from day one
  3. Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance management
  4. Training and development for future retail senior leadership team members.
  5. Expert sellers in relation to performance

Store Operations

  1. Oversee daily store operations to ensure efficiency and excellence
  2. Manage scheduling and staff productivity
  3. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health & safety standards
  4. Monitor and manage inventory levels, stock control, and loss prevention
  5. Handle escalated customer issues

Customer Experience & Community

  1. Deliver a best-in-class, personalized customer experience
  2. Act as a brand ambassador and foster a strong connection with the local community
  3. Oversee in-store events, activations, and community initiatives
  4. Ensure the store environment reflects the brand’s energy, inclusivity, and aesthetic

Sales & Performance Management

  1. Drive store sales and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs)
  2. Analyse sales data and identify opportunities for growth and improvement
  3. Implement strategies to maximize conversion, average order value, and customer retention
  4. Report regularly on store performance to senior leadership
  5. Manage payroll, budgets, store profitability and performance.

Brand Representation

  1. Embody and promote Oner Active’s values and mission
  2. Maintain high visual and operational standards at all times
  3. Ensure consistency between online and offline brand experiences

You’ll need to have:

  1. Proven experience as a Store Manager or similar leadership role in retail, preferably an activewear store
  2. Experience opening a new store or working in a start-up retail environment is highly desirable
  3. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  4. Passion for fitness, lifestyle, and community-driven brands
  5. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  6. Commercial mindset with a hands-on approach
