The Stockroom Supervisor is a key holder. You are the leader of the stockroom tasks. You are responsible for the effective completion of deliveries, recalls, stock counts and stock takes and feedback any discrepancies and IT challenges to the correct department. You ensure the stockroom is maximized, safe and easy to navigate for the team. You expected to work independently and as a support to the shop floor team. You are confident responding to customer emails and answering telephone calls and acting as a brand representative at all times.
Responsibilities
● Be the leader of the off floor ME+EM operational tasks.
● Collaborate with the Store Manager to ensure effective and efficient product management in the stockroom to support the floor.
● Manage time and task list to ensure deliveries & stock recalls are actioned to deadlines.
● Ensure the upkeep of the stockroom, making sure that it is clear and easy for the team to navigate and communicating any changes within the stockroom organization to the team.
● Expert in stock and till processes and ability to effectively train others on these tasks.
● Prioritize merch actions.
● Ensure deliveries are unpacked, checked, labelled and placed correctly in the designated areas.
● Ensure existing products are accurately labelled and placed correctly in the designated areas.
● Manage the stock inventory and stock movement process.
● Attend all stock takes.
● Prepare and steam the daily replenishment.
● Have a good understanding of the product range and style names.
● Support on the shop floor if required.
● Be confident in navigating the customer, suggesting alternatives or fulfilling their product requests either within another ME+EM store, online or during telephone orders.
● Be responsible for own H&S and ensure H&S processes are followed in store.
● Ensure stock is safely stored and broken ladders, stools etc. are disposed of.
● Embrace change and support the roll out of new systems.
● Influence others with your knowledge.
● Display exemplary behavior in time keeping, back of house admin and customer care.
● Communicate efficiently, to the store manager and the team, stock levels such as sell outs and low stock.
● Display high level of telephone etiquette when using the store phone and able to train others to the same standard.
● Ensure a professional tone is used in all communication: in person, phone, and electronic.
● Be a ME+EM brand representative at all times.
● Be a key contributor to store KPIs.
● Being responsible for own Health and Safety and ensuring Health and Safety processes are followed in store.
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications
● High School Diploma
● Two to Five (2 to 5) years of stockroom experience.
● Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
● Superb time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
● Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
● Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
● Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, stock related software.
Physical Requirements
● Constantly (More than 66% of the time): Walk, stand, reach overhead, stoop, bend and lift up to 10lbs
● Frequently (34-66%): Lift up to 15lbs
● Occasionally (1% - 33%): Lift up to 25lbs
