Beauty Buying Consultant

This opportunity is for an experienced multi-brand beauty buying professional to work with this Californian-based sustainable luxury & fashion e-commerce start-up as a consultant. Previous experience in clean beauty is essential and buying brands such as Kjaer Weis, Augustinus Bader, and similar. E-commerce experience is preferred (companies such as saks, barney’s, net-a-porter, credo beauty) This is a flexible buying opportunity to work a few days per month with this super interesting start-up that is building a marketplace focused only on sustainable luxury & fashion brands. They are looking for someone who already has strong relationships with the leading brands they would like to feature and can help them curate a small but beautiful selection of products for their target launch. The founding team is based in San Fransisco but they are very happy with a buying professional working remotely from anywhere, as long as you can make the time difference work and are fluent in English.

Beauty Buyer
Role:
- Help define the overall tone and aesthetic of our brand
- Identify and assist in outreach to relevant beauty brands
- Work within the outlined budget to purchase pieces that will best suit our brief
Experience:
- Experienced buyer in an upper-level position (head buyer, buying director, etc.)
- Experience working in luxury and beauty - preferred e-commerce experience (companies such as saks, barney’s, net-a-porter, credo beauty)
- Expert knowledge of beauty trends with relation to luxury buyers
- Experience with the clean beauty sector
Time commitment:
- Part-time: flexible hours depending on the number of brands in the pipeline
