## About the Role

In the vital role of Leather Goods Designer, you will support the design team in the creation of high-end soft bags, luggage, and accessories. This demanding role calls for an understanding of color and materials, and your experience in designing soft goods will be invaluable. Expect to work closely with the Head of Design on all projects. You should also be proficient in digital tools like Clo3D, which will be essential for sharing digital designs with our team and factories.

## Key Responsibilities:

-Develop new concepts, ideas, and directions.

- Propose and discuss innovative ideas and solutions using sketching, pattern, and 3D software.

- Create detailed technical specifications for factories.

- Identify and suggest improvements to current products.

- Produce 3D designs using CAD or similar soft modeling software.

- Develop products and collections in line with the broader brand and product vision.

- Work closely with our European factories during sampling and production.

## About You

You hold a relevant degree-level or equivalent qualification in bags/accessories fashion design or product design. With at least 2-4 years of industry experience in luxury leather goods design, you hold a good understanding of pattern making and soft construction. You are excited about creating new products and possess strong presentation skills. An excellent understanding of materials and fabrication techniques used within luxury and/or premium product manufacturing is a must. You are commercially aware of brands in the sector, detail and results-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills.

-Strong CAD skills, confident on Illustrator/Photoshop/InDesign

- Passionate about design and fashion, you are able to identify emerging trends and interpret them for commercial product ranges

- Able to work to a critical path and work well under pressure, with an ability to multi-task and be flexible to work as part of a team and individually when needed

- Experience working with European factories/suppliers, with French a big plus

## Other Requirements

- You will support the creative side of the business across all departments.

- You'll create and manage creative and commercial strategies for the company.

- You will need to research trends and come up with trend strategies and ideas.

- There will be the need to liaise with factories in France or Italy for quality control.

- Preparing Design Packs for manufacturers will be part of your role.

- You will also be in charge of making presentations on new season trends.

This job will involve monthly travel to France. Open to profiles looking for a permanent position in London with a flexible working pattern (3 days in office, 2 days WFH) or Paris-based freelancers willing to travel to London.
